Dr Alexandros Charalambides is a Professor at the Department of Sustainable Development of the Cyprus University of Technology, working on predicting energy production from solar systems and on how innovation and entrepreneurship can assist in our efforts for decarbonization. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London. As from 2024, he serves on the Board of the Electricity Authority of Cyprus. He is also the founder of Chrysalis LEAP, the first cleantech accelerator in Cyprus, and has trained more than 200 entrepreneurs on how to go from a research idea to a viable business.
