SWC 2025 off to a great start!

After many months of hard work, this year's ISES and ABENS Solar World Congress 2025 is off to a great start!

Congress Chair Marcelo Almeida, International Organising Committee Chair Aline Kirsten, ABENS President Marília Braga and ISES Vice President Andreas Hauer welcomed attendees from all around the globe to this year's congress in Fortalea, Brazil where the event will set the stage for the upcoming COP30 negotiations.

On site, attendees joined the first events of the congress, such as the much-loved speed networking session, a dedicated women in solar energy session and the official opening ceremony, where, as a special highlight, ISES presented this year's Farrington Daniels Award to Prof Ranga Pitchumani, Editor in Chief of the Solar Energy Journal and the ISES Global Leadership Award in Advancing Solar Energy Policy to Robert Habeck, former Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and former Vice Chancellor of Germany who send his best wishes to the attendess via a video message.
