Solar Energy Journal - Volume 311

16. June 2026

The International Solar Energy Society (ISES) is pleased to present the latest in solar energy research featured in Solar Energy, Volume 311.

Published continuously since 1957, Solar Energy is a flagship journal led by Editor‑in‑Chief Ranga Pitchumani and one of the most influential publications in the field.

Check out the Editor’s selected highlights from this new volume:

  • Mitigating the interference effects induced by optical cavities in superstrate thin-film silicon multi-junction solar cells
  • Dual-ligand engineering for surface reconstruction and suppressed non-radiative recombination in inverted perovskite solar cells
  • Multi-frame cloud prediction in all-sky images from RGB images and segmented masks
  • Advancing reverse transposition irradiance modelling across diverse climates with a novel honeycomb-inspired approach
  • A facile strategy to prepare self-floating and salt-resistant porous structures toward efficient solar evaporation
  • Spatiotemporal optimization of heliostat field layout on sloped terrain in solar power tower plants
  • Aerogel-based solar thermal facade for space heating and domestic hot water production
  • Design and light transmittance distribution measurements of semitransparent c-Si PV modules for agrivoltaic systems
  • Variable porosity cavity receivers as means of mitigating irradiance induced hotspots
