This forum will consist of global experts who will discuss the technical, financial, and policy challenges and opportunities to transform our end-use energy system into 100% renewables. Particular focus will be placed on the role of solar technologies in this transformation. Speakers will include experts who have developed models or documents on 100% renewables (e.g. Fraunhofer ISE, Uni-Berkeley, NREL, Greenpeace, WWF, etc.).

Renewable Cities Initiatives

This forum will consist of experts involved in the process of communicating to city managers around the world the opportunities to have their cities become 100% renewable cities. Currently about 120 cities world-wide have signed on to this goal. Expert representatives from organizations such as the Sierra Club, the 100% Renewables Policy Institute, Simon Fraser University, and a city representative who has signed on to this initiative will present the challenges and opportunities for cities to adopt this target, with specific emphasis on how this initiative can benefit growth of the solar industry.
