Short Description
Dr Keith Lovegrove is the Head – Solar Thermal for the ITP Energised group (http://www.itpenergised.com/ ) and managing director of the group company ITP Thermal Pty Ltd. He has 30 year of experience in Renewable Energy combined with 15 years of teaching experience in undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Energy Systems and Systems Engineering. He was previously the leader of the Solar Thermal Group at the Australian National University. In that role he was the lead inventor and design and construction team leader of the 500m2 (world’s largest) Generation II Big Dish solar concentrator (http://bigdishsolar.com/).
Keith is Australia’s alternative executive committee representative at the IEA Solar PACES (Power and Chemical Energy Systems http://solarpaces.org/ ) program. He is currently a member of the University of Adelaide’s Centre for Energy Technology advisory board (https://www.adelaide.edu.au/cet/ ), serves on the Australian Renewable Energy Agency’s project assessment panel (https://arena.gov.au/ ) and is a board member of the Australian Solar Thermal Energy Association (http://www.austela.net.au/ ).

He has authored or co-authored more than 160 publications including 2 patents and 7 book chapters and major public reports. Keith has been an invited / plenary speaker at more than 45 conferences / forums. He was the primary editor of the book “Concentrating Solar Power Technology” released in 2012 by Woodhead publishing UK.
