Sustainable Energy Policy Concepts
Improving access for rural and urban low-income areas in DC through energy efficiency and renewable energies

The objective of SEPCO is to design and help implementing sustainable processes for sustainable energy projects with particular emphasis given to energy efficiency technologies and renewable energies for low-income areas in developing countries.

In a first phase, information on the energy-situation in the different countries was collected through literature research, contacts with partner institutions in other countries and through workshops that were carried through in these countries. Based on the collected information, case studies investigated in more detail in Phase II were selected.

Focus countries for this project were Cuba, Mexico and South Africa.
